We’re Making A Racket In Your Neighborhood!

Players will be making a racket again in downtown Minneapolis for the 17th Annual Lipton Tea & Honey Aquatennial Plaza Tennis Classic July 9-20 at Canadian Pacific Plaza. Qualifying draws for men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles will be July 9-12, with the main draws July 13-20. Matches will be held from approximately 9:00 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays and admission is free.

This tournament is open to anyone and features many of the top players in the Section. All participants must register in TennisLink by June 25 to play in the qualifying or main draws. Six positions in the main draw will be selected by tournament officials, with the remaining two sports filled by the two finalists in the qualifying draws. Over $5,000 of prize money will be awarded during the two-week event that will also feature an exhibition, 10 and Under Tournament and special appearance by the Aquatennial Queen and Commodore.
